The Galt House
We will be staying at the world famous Galt House Hotel and Suites located in downtown Louisville, Kentucky.  Galt House Hotel is the largest hotel in Kentucky and offers a wide array of well-appointed lodging options with 1290 guest rooms, including 650 suites.  It is located about seven miles from the Louisville International Airport (SDF) and is about a ten minute ride.  Check out more details about the Galt House here.   Reservations may be made directly with the hotel here. A negotiated regular hotel rooms will be $120 and suites will be $150 per night plus taxes and other fees. Parking at the Galt House is $12.00 per night for self-parking or $18.00 per night for valet parking, in an attached covered garage.  There are over 3,000 parking spots within the garage. Several companies provide transportation to and from the airport, and other attractions, rates usually begin around $15.00 per round trip, with much cheaper rates in the downtown area.  Louisville offers a bus system around the downtown area, as well as a new Trolley system with pickup in front of the Galt House Hotel. Wireless Internet is provided free of charge in all hotel rooms, and public meeting spaces. Fitness 360 is located at the top of the Suite Tower, giving visitors access to fitness equipment with a 360 degree view of Louisville. A business center is located on the first floor of the hotel, with a UPS store conveniently located on the second floor, just outside the main meeting space area.  The Hotel block will be held until June 23, 2011 and then will be released to the general public.
